ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

\n\n

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday support

    • \n

  • Maintain patient ratios of 2 : 1 ICU and 4-5 : 1 PCU

    • \n

  • No on-call requirements

    • \n

  • Required to float to other units as needed

    • \n

  • Medical ICU experience in large facility required

    • \n

  • Must be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management

    • \n

  • Advanced skills needed : ventilator management, critical care pharmacology, IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, central line management

    • \n

  • Assist providers with bedside procedures including chest tube insertion and intubations

    • \n

  • Work with equipment including lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, and IV pumps

    • \n

  • Use Cerner documentation system

    • \n

  • Perform bedside shift reports and nurse leader rounding when serving as relief charge nurse

    • \n

  • Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and work well with others

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS

    • \n

  • Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs

    • \n

  • Unit staffing includes charge nurse out of staffing with no unit secretaries or PCTs
