Overview
QA Engineer II - Marketing role at Tailored Brands, Inc. This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining QA practices, writing test scenarios and executing tests, both manually and with automated tools. The QA Engineer will work with a small, collaborative team of seasoned QA engineers and business partners in the Omni channel team.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the design and implementation process of new and existing products
- Lead Omni channel projects from QA standpoint and provide technical leadership to other QA engineers
- Define and implement black-box, white-box and automated testing suites for core Marketing technologies, products and web-based applications
- Endure design, develop, and maintain end-to-end test scripts to validate ETL processes, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and workflows across multiple environments
- Automate ETL validation processes to improve efficiency and scalability
- Validate Email and SMS marketing platforms, including their end-to-end integrations and performance
- Test and verify integrations between Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and various systems such as CRM tools, marketing automation platforms, and analytics solutions
- Perform in-depth testing of data layer objects, particularly on Google Tag Manager (GTM)-based websites
- Automate validation processes for tracking technologies, including Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, GTM tags, and other digital analytics tools
- Test data and perform business applications functional system, integration (end-to-end) tests for new and existing applications
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automation scripts into CI / CD pipelines
- Participate in review and approval process of project deliverables
- Advise project teams on appropriate approaches to testing delivered products, including test tool sets
- Provide guidance to development and project teams on the creation of a master test plan and other testing related deliverables
- Assist project teams on identifying the needs for appropriate test environments and coordinate the establishment of appropriate test environments
- Find, track and prioritize bugs and work toward their resolution
- Define and track quality assurance automation metrics such as automation defect densities, defects age and automation coverage
- Participate in the testing of production emergency bug fixes
- Perform rotating on-call support duties and periodically participate in after-hours release testing
- Participate in release production validation
What You'll Bring
5+ years of testing experience in Retail or E-commerce Marketing technologiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant bachelor's degree preferredExperience in designing, developing, and maintaining test scripts aligned with business requirementsExperience in ensuring end-to-end marketing data campaigns, email workflows, and customer journeys, accuracy, and consistency across multiple environmentsExperience in validating Email / SMS marketing platforms and their end-to-end integrationsExperience in validating Customer Data Platforms (CDP) integrations with various applications, including CRM systems, marketing automation tools, analytics platformsExperience in testing data layer objects (especially for GTM-based sites)Experience in automating the validation of tracking technologies such as Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, GTM tags, and other analytics toolsExtensive experience with SDLC and testing methodologies, including Functional testing, end-to-end integration testing, system testing, compatibility testing, regression testing & defect cycleGood experience in test plan creation, test case creation and peer reviewHands-on experience in test management tools like JIRA, QC tools, etcExperience in automation testing tools such as UiPath, Litmus, Email on Acid, JUnit, Cypress, or equivalentProficient in testing marketing automation workflows, including lead nurturing and drip campaignsProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scriptingStrong experience in SQL (for verifying campaign data in databases / CRMs)Hands-on experience in BigQuery or similar platforms for advanced marketing data validation and analysisKnowledge of UTM parameters, tracking tags, and conversion pixelsUnderstanding of GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other compliance considerationsAbility to work in an onsite-offshore modelGuiding / supporting the team membersGood experience in interactions with business teams to understand user stories / business casesExperience in CI / CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.Knowledge of ETL tools and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google CloudNotes
