Licensed Vocational Nurse
El Camino Health Medical Network is currently seeking a Part-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our growing healthcare team!
Location : San Jose, CA
Schedule : 28 hours per week, Tuesday-Thursday 9am-5 : 30pm and Friday from 9am-1pm.
Pay : $34.00-$52.00 per hour

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides appropriate care to patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner. She / he assists the patient’s care team in implementing the medical plan of care.
Essential Functions :
Clinical duties may include, but are not limited to :
- Assists physicians with patient visits which include : rooming and interviewing patients, taking and recording vital signs to include; height and weight, documenting medications, and entering the information in the patients’ electronic medical record (EMR)
- Prepares and reviews patients’ EMR according to standard Pre-Visit Prep work flow. Reviews EMR entries for completeness ensuring all required information is included
- Scans all pertinent information into the EMR
- Performs and assists providers with routine and / or specialized clinical procedures
- Administers ordered medications and vaccines in a safe, accurate, professional and timely manner following policies and procedures
- Assist in making follow-up appointments and consultation appointments with specialists for patients
Performs all other duties as assigned including department-specific functions and responsibilities

High School Diploma or GEDValid California Licensed Vocational Nurse LicenseOne (1) year License Vocational Nurse nursing experienceCurrent CPR CertificationExperience working with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR)Ability to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPMStrong verbal and written communications, and active listening skillsSolid patient / guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous and efficient mannerAbility to accurately perform basic mathExcellent attention to detailAbility to effectively organize and prioritize task in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflowAbility to work effectively as a team member who is flexible, cooperative and willing to assist othersPId0b53b984442-30511-38614897
