Requires a fully completed, on-line application profile with the following documents attached :

• High School Diploma / Equivalent or higher degree
• Resume
• Valid State of California Class B (PS endorsement) Driver's License
• Valid California Highway Patrol School Bus Driver's Cert.
• Valid First Aid / CPR Certificate (Adult, Infant, Child)
• Valid Medical Certificate (DL-51A & DL-51)
• Current DMV Driving Record (from DMV only)

Prior to employment all candidates must successfully complete the District's clearance process, which includes : drug / alcohol testing, physical and back evaluation.

Function : Under supervision, drive a school bus and / or drive other District vehicles; operate assigned bus in a clean and safe condition; and perform related duties as required. This is a permanent position upon successful completion of a 6 month probationary period. Before the end of the six-month probationary period, all drivers must hold a California School Bus License with either no restrictions, or an automatic transmission restriction only.

The new three-year collective bargaining agreement includes salary changes as described below, subject to ratification : 2026–2027 : Salary schedule increase of 60% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end pending ratification. 2027–2028 : Salary schedule increase of 50% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end pending ratification.
