Responsibilities Position is based in an acute care hospital operating room Patient ratios are 1 : 1 for days, nights, and weekends Daily census averages 20 cases Handles a wide range of surgeries including gynecological, plastics, trauma, podiatry, orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopic, urology, robotics, ENT, bariatrics, and pediatric procedures Experience with equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Steris, and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is needed Charting is done using Epic EMR Works four 10-hour day shifts (6 : 30am to 5 : 00pm) Assignment includes one weekend shift every 4th weekend Holiday and Charge RN assignments may be required as needed No on-call requirements Floating within scope to other departments, units, and facilities may be required Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing on a variety of surgical cases across multiple service lines Pre-hire drug screening must be successfully cleared for assignment Modules required for orientation, to be completed prior to and during onboarding Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed per contract Applicants must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted Navy scrubs are required for this assignment Free parking is available on site First-time travelers are welcome to apply No travel partners accepted for this role Requirements Active MO or compact RN license in hand Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience with at least 1 full year in specialty within the past 12 months No employment gap greater than 90 days in the past year Required certification : Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) Preferred certifications : CNOR, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Comprehensive clinical skills including administration of blood products, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation, infection control, laser and radiation safety, specimen handling, starting IVs, time-out procedures, bladder catheterization, and wound management Experience with Epic EMR preferred Documentation required includes SS card, driver's license, and evidence of COVID and Flu vaccination upon consideration Two recent references are required, at least one from a supervisor and one from a charge RN within the past year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620006.
