Information Systems Auditor

The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury is seeking an Information Systems Auditor to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate the security, reliability, and compliance of the technology systems that power state government—helping protect taxpayer dollars and strengthen essential public services.

As a Comptroller employee, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission of making government work better and producing meaningful audit work, all while having the time to enjoy life outside of work with our flexible scheduling and 37.5-hour standard workweeks.

Key responsibilities include :

• Evaluating the effectiveness of information technology controls and practices across state government entities, including areas such as security, access, change management, and contingency planning.
• Collaborating with financial and performance audit teams to integrate information systems control testing into broader audit objectives.
• Producing neat, concise, logical, and well-supported working papers that comply with auditing standards and best practices.
• Preparing audit findings, writing audit reports, and developing recommendations that comply with Government Auditing Standards.
• Evaluating audit methods and using new technologies to improve audit efficiency and impact while maintaining high audit quality.
• Professionally representing the Comptroller’s Office and communicating clearly with auditees and team members.
• Presenting audit results to the Tennessee General Assembly’s Joint Government Operations Committee and the state’s Information Systems Council.

Qualifications

You are qualified for this position if you meet the following criteria :

Travel

Overnight travel is limited and dependent upon assignment. Assignments are based on business need, but employee preference for travel is taken into consideration.

Compensation
