Warehouse Worker

Join a dynamic and family-oriented business as a Warehouse Worker at a main distribution center. This role involves managing warehouse inventory and ensuring the smooth flow of goods to multiple retail locations across the Midwest.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and store received materials in the warehouse.
  • Utilize an RF scanner to track inventory.
  • Pull orders for daily shipments.
  • Stock and palletize orders as per work orders.
  • Shrink wrap loaded pallets for shipments.
  • Collaborate with forklift operators to move materials as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in forklift operation.
  • Experience with inventory management.
  • Competency in using an RF scanner.
  • Ability to handle pallets and general warehouse tasks.
  • Experience in order picking, packing, and loading.
  • Material handling expertise.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of previous manual labor experience.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Work Environment

    This large distribution warehouse features multiple levels and numerous fans, though it can get warm during summer. The standard shift is from 5am to 2 : 30pm, Monday through Friday, with flexible start times available. Every department works every other Saturday until Black Friday, with an emphasis on a high volume of hours. The dress code requires closed-toed shoes and non-offensive clothing, with t-shirts and shorts allowed during hot weather. A second shift runs from 4pm to 12 : 30am.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SIOUX CITY, Iowa.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00 / hr.
