Job Description
As a Security Officer - Education Patrol in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.
As an unarmed patrol officer at an education-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do :
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for an educational environment.Conduct regular and random patrols of the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions.Observe and report activities and incidents, maintaining detailed written logs and incident reports as required by site procedures.Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and reporting any suspicious behavior or unauthorized access.Assist with crowd management and / or event support on campus as needed, helping maintain an orderly environment.Communicate with campus staff, Allied Universal management, and local authorities as necessary during incidents and routine operations.What We're Looking For :

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.Alarm panel experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.CPR certification is preferred.Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
