Job Summary
This position is in the Surgical Service Line. Our mission is to fulfill President Lincoln's promise - "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan" - by serving and honoring the men and women who are America's Veterans.

Duties
Assist vision care providers in providing the highest possible level of services to patients. Perform routine clinical tasks, including assisting in taking patient history for review by the doctor, verifying spectacle prescription data, measuring visual acuity, measuring corneal curvature, assessing color vision, and using an auto-refractor to determine a patient's spectacle prescription.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED : To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Time-in-grade : Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. Specialized Experience : Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least a GS-5.
