A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work on E5 CARD unit, a 40-bed progressive care unit located on the 5th floor
• Patient ratio of 1 : 4 with stretch staffing at 1 : 5 ratio
• Care for patients with CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, and post cardiac procedures
• Work with equipment including Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps, lift equipment, and bladder scanners
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Must have stepdown or progressive care experience and telemetry experience
• Experience required with titratable or cardiac IV medications including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, Bumex / Lasix
• Preferred experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) and relief charge experience
• Required certifications : BLS and ACLS
• Perform bedside cardioversion procedures
• Float to all MedSurg units, stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding as needed
• Work every other weekend
• Dress code : all white or all navy blue scrubs, or white top with navy blue pants
