The Opportunity : Patient Care Assistant Bigelow 9 General Medicine, and Bigelow 13 RACU The RACU / General Medicine is an eighteen-bed unit crafted for the care of patients requiring focused pulmonary care and the care of patients with general medical diagnoses. PCAs will float between two units, Bigelow 9 General Medicine, and Bigelow 13 RACU. Schedule

• 36 hours| Rotating shifts
• Day (7am-3pm / 7am-7pm)
• Evening (3pm-11pm)
• Night (7pm-7am, 11pm-7a)
• Alternating holiday and weekend schedule required $750.00 Sign on bonus $1,000 Referral bonus

Job Summary

Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Emergency Medical Technician - Basic [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services preferred

Nursing Assistant [LNA - Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Board of Nursing preferred Experience Experience working in patient care / elder care 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. - Knowledge of medical terminology. - Strong patient / customer service skills. - Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. - Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
