The Manager, Information technology position is accountable for the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of computerized information systems throughout the organization, and is responsible for the support of the organization's strategic plans by providing efficient information collection and ensuring the data integrity of these systems. This position will be located at Mercy Ridge, but will work in conjunction with the Mercy IT department, and may require travel to our downtown Hospital at least once a week.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the information technology department including :
Directing IT staff
Ensuring availability and performance of all infrastructure and business systemsOversight of outsourced IT support servicesPlanning and managing the IT budgetProviding data security for all stakeholdersConsult with administration and department managers in assessing and anticipating current and future technology needs.Provide solutions recommendations, including a business case, enabling the community to be a technology leader in the industry.Propose technology solutions to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of staff members.Responsible for IT conformance to the community's HIPPA compliance requirements. Will serve as IT point of contact for all compliance audits.Establish a data analytics strategy to improve the care and service for all residents.Develop and implement a customer service platform to serve the community in every aspect.Lead contract negotiations for all new computer equipment and software purchased.Support the mission of Mercy Ridge and ensure an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environmentSupport, cooperate with, and implement specific procedures and programs for :Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire / safety / disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and / or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.

Bachelor of Science degree, preferably with an IT orientation. If not in IT, BS / BA with significant work experience performing in a similar role.Healthcare experience preferred.5 years supporting, configuring or building IT applications, preferably managing IT teams in a healthcare setting.Demonstrated progressive experience with technology and information systems; healthcare environment preferred.Strong analytic and organizational skills, particularly in planning, communications, process redesign, and problem-solving.Familiarity with legacy and state-of-the-art computer technology.Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of users who have varying levels of computer expertise.Advanced interpersonal skills to relate effectively with IT team members and IT users in other departments.Demonstrated progressive experience with information systems.Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Access.LI-LF1
