Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary : The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing both routine and complex care in a clinical setting, demonstrating an independent and comprehensive approach to patient care. The RN must be capable of managing long-term goals, handling contingencies in nursing practice, and making appropriate assignments and delegations to other care providers to support clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Meet expectations based on the nursing competency model, including self-leadership, leadership of others, or leadership of teams.
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with established standards, utilizing the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for all assigned patients.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, while remaining within the scope of nursing practice.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitor patients for side effects, and assess the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
- Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and the care provided.
- Assess patient learning needs and provide appropriate education to patients, family members, and caregivers. Identify resources and support as necessary.
Job Requirements :
Education and Skills :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Experience :
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or compact nursing license.
