JOB TITLE : REAL (Reaching Excellence as Leaders) Program Manager

FSLA Status : Exempt

PROGRAM AREA : Action, Advocacy, & Education

JOB OBJECTIVE : To manage and deliver the REAL program at Oasis Center; supervising staff and volunteers; work with community and corporate partners to ensure BIPOC males, ages 13-17, receive Youth Violence Prevention resources and alternatives that will divert them from the Juvenile Justice System.

Management & Coordination

Essential Functions :

• Coordinate recruitment of new REAL group participants.
• Coordinate and supervise the provision of service / learning and TOP prevention principles for young men ages 13-18, using high quality facilitation skills, social emotional learning, and student voice to select curriculum topics derived from the enhanced Teen Outreach Program (TOP) Curriculum.
• Coordinate with community partners for guest speakers relevant to the voiced interests and needs of youth participants.
• Develop and maintain partnerships to offer enrichment, service learning, expungement, trade credentialing, entrepreneurship, and college access for youth participants.
• Coordinate relevant REAL leadership opportunities for program participants.
• Collaborate with Juvenile Court and MNPS schools in the provision of diversion and prevention services through REAL.
• Sustain communication with youth, parents, teachers, and partners in order to ensure youth are receiving the support and guidance they need regarding school, mental health, employment, and participation in Oasis Center programming.
