Description : Our client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader

We are a launch-stage health technology startup that has developed a novel, 510(k) cleared connected wearable medical device to address a significant unmet medical need. Our first product is a wearable platform that treats a serious underlying chronic venous and lymphatic condition and spans home-health, consumer, and clinical / hospital use settings. Our team includes founders and seasoned professionals with successful product development, launch, and exit track records.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of manufacturing operators.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Schedule and assign daily tasks to meet production targets.

Production Oversight

  • Generate Work Orders and Sales Orders for production and fulfillment lines.
  • Update ERP system as required.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO 13485, and internal quality procedures.
  • Monitor production output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate production and batch records.

    • Quality & Compliance

  • Promote a "right first time" quality mindset.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement CAPAs.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external inspections.

    • Continuous Improvement

  • Implement Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Encourage team-driven improvement ideas.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional process improvement and new product introduction teams.

    • Communication & Collaboration

  • Serve as liaison between manufacturing and departments like Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Communicate production status and challenges to management.
  • Lead effective team meetings and daily stand-ups.

    • Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Technology (Bachelor's preferred). Equivalent experience (5+ years) may be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device, pharma, or regulated industry preferred).
  • 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, ISO 13485, and FDA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
