Overview
Join to apply for the Regional Sales Director role at TSP, a Syneos Health company . TSP is engaged in a direct recruiting national sales expansion with Ascendis Pharma, a fast-growing global biopharmaceutical company advancing programs in Endocrinology, Rare Disease and Oncology.
Location within assigned geography; access to a major airport is needed. Ability to travel within the Region on a frequent overnight basis, with occasional weekend travel; 80% travel is required.
Responsibilities
- The RSD will establish and inspect clear and rigorous business fundamentals, behaviors and metrics, set high performance standards and meet or exceed sales goals across the business
- The RSD will create immediate impact by hiring, leading, coaching and motivating the high-performance sales team
- Lead and adapt to launch preparations and support corporate and field-based colleagues in a dynamic market to achieve results in a complex specialty environment
- Coach ECSs in Ascendis Pharma’s sales model to drive improvement in clinical, product, business acumen and reimbursement skillsets; participate in field rides, customer meetings, target planning, territory alignment and development of employees
- Contribute to development of the National Sales plan aligned to organizational goals using analysis of economic, industry, marketing and sales data
- Ensure timely completion of territory and regional administrative tasks, including expense reporting, program funding requests and management communications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferredMinimum 3 years of direct people leadership experience in rare disease / specialty biopharma preferredBroad commercial experience (Sales, Marketing, Training, Market Access, etc.) preferredStrong knowledge of rare disease, market dynamics, distribution, patient support, care coordination and reimbursement modelsProven track record of success (Top 20% performance)Ability to develop and execute innovative sales strategies with multiple productsExperience navigating large health systems and driving through to sale via relationships at all levelsCollaborative leader with ability to motivate high-performance teams in direct-line and matrix settingsExperience with products distributed via specialty pharmacies and supported by patient servicesExecutive presence and strong communication skills; able to present to senior managementAbility to navigate ambiguity, balance process with agility, and make timely decisionsAutonomous, self-starter with high energy and drive for resultsCommitment to continuous learning and accountabilityCompliance-focused with ability to champion complianceProficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM / toolsSalary : The annual base salary for this position ranges from $225,000 to $230,000. Actual salary will vary based on qualifications, skills, and proficiency for the role.
