Job Description

As a Security Officer - - Cultural Site - Part Time in Saint Petersburg, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, Cultural Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to help create a welcoming and secure environment for guests and staff at retail and cultural institution locations. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within retail, mall, and cultural institution settings.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols inside and around the premises, including both the interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or disturbances.
  • Observe and report any irregularities such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and / or client contacts.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and on-site staff to support a secure environment for visitors, employees, and property.
  • Maintain a visible presence to provide reassurance to patrons and help to deter potential disruptions within the location.
  • Assist guests and visitors by providing information, guidance, and directions as needed while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
