An aerospace client is looking for a System Safety Engineer with Active Secret Clearance to support the Integrated Systems Lifecycle Engineering department.

Location : Woodland Hills, CA 91367 (On-site)

Position : System Safety Engineer

Pay Rate : $57.69 / hr – $72.40 / hr on W2

Duration : 12 months or longer

Schedule : 9 / 80 A

Shift : 1st shift, 8 am – 5 : 30 pm

Responsibilities

• As a member of the ISLE department, you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside Systems, Design, Manufacturing etc to evaluate different programs' Safety Engineering needs.
• This includes performing safety analyses on new programs and maintaining and revising safety analyses for existing programs when required due to obsolescence or customer requirements.
• Apply system safety engineering principles in accordance with MIL-STD-882E
• Prepare System Safety Engineering analysis and Generate documents in accordance with MIL-STD-882E including PHAs, FHAs, SHAs / SSHAs, Bent Pin Analyses, Fault Tree Analyses, and Software System Safety Analyses.
• Identify system safety issues, propose solutions and ensure appropriate action is taken to mitigate safety issues.
• Generate / Review Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) or experience with FMEA.
• Develop, review, update and approve System Safety Artifacts and System Safety Requirements.
• Document hazards using a closed-loop Hazard Tracking System.
• Communicate project status to the CAM and IPT Lead as required.
