Travel may include local or regional assignments, with applicable travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with company policy.\n\nJob Summary : \nWe are seeking skilled Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurses (Med-Surg / Tele RNs) to provide coverage to our Michigan locations. In this role, you will care for a variety of medical and surgical patients with complex health needs. This includes monitoring telemetry patients for cardiac arrhythmias, managing post-operative care, and addressing acute and chronic medical conditions. - Provides individualized nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.\n
- Administers medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders and hospital policies.\n
- Monitors and responds to cardiac telemetry, recognizing and escalating abnormal heart rhythms.\n
- Engages patients and their families in care planning and education.\n
- Supports safe discharges by providing self-care management instructions and follow-up planning.\n
- Operates medical equipment, including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, and patient mobility aids.\n
- Documents all care activities, assessments, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).\n
- Promotes patient safety through fall prevention, infection control, skin integrity management, and medication safety practices.\n
- Participates in unit-based and system-wide quality improvement initiatives.\n
- Collaborates with physicians, physical therapists, case managers, and other team members to coordinate patient care.\n
- Participates in bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and team huddles.\n
- Maintains responsibility for continuing education and specialty competencies.\n
- Supports a positive work environment by mentoring less experienced staff and participating in team-building activities.\n
- Ensures equipment is available, maintained, and properly used for patient care.\n
- Participates in departmental cleaning, organization, and supply management.\n
- Performs other duties as assigned to support patient care and unit operations.\n\nQualifications : \n
- Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.\n
- Education : The RN in Michigan must complete twenty-five contact hours of continuing education during his / her licensure period. At least 2 hours of contact hours must be related to pain and pain symptom management. At least 1 hour of contact hours must be related to implicit bias training. BSN (preferred)\n
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.\n
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.\n
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.\n
- Proficiency with EHR systems and healthcare technologies.\nPhysical Requirements : \n
- May be expected to lift up to 50 pounds or up to 150 pounds with assistance. May be expected to push or pull 150-300 pounds with assistance.\n
- Work is of medium demand; walking or standing most of the time while on duty\n
- Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required. Optimal auditory acuity required\n
- Manual dexterity involving the handling of equipment and instruments or needles is essential to performing assigned duties\n
- Physical conditions are clean, neat and well lit\n
- May be subjected to unpleasant sights and odors, stressful situations and hazardous or infectious agents where judgment as to precautions needed to be taken is essential. Climate control and ambient temperature variances may be experienced and required by patient care and needs of the surgical team\n
- Exposure to limited amounts of radiation, hazardous chemicals or substances and infectious disease processes are a possibility\n
