Political Ads Strategist (Advertising Team)
WeVote is a nonpartisan get-out-the-vote nonprofit startup and a celebrated Fast Forward nonprofit technology grantee. WeVote is a movement of over 120 active passionate, part-time volunteers (starting with the founders) who build mobile technologies that will touch and mobilize millions of voters on Election Day.

Role Overview
WeVote has an open volunteering position for a Political Ads Strategist to help strengthen American Democracy. You are an experienced professional (3–5 years) with hands-on campaign strategy and media buying across Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, Reddit, and other platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Develop strategic campaign plans that drive awareness and engagement with WeVote’s voter education tools
- Identify target audiences and recommend optimal media channels (digital, social, grassroots partnerships, etc.)
- Partner with campaign managers and creative leads to ensure messaging aligns with WeVote’s mission and values
- Monitor campaign performance and provide strategic recommendations for improvement
- Help set KPIs and benchmarks for advertising initiatives
- Collaborate with content, design, and engineering volunteers to produce creative assets and landing page experiences that are on-brand and accessible
- Create repeatable playbooks, templates, and checklists so additional volunteers can execute and scale during peak periods
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of hands-on experience planning, launching, and optimizing paid digital campaigns as a campaign strategist or digital ads managerData-driven mindset with strong spreadsheet skills and experience creating concise performance reportsClear, concise copy and brief-writing skills; ability to translate messaging into testable ad variationsMeticulous about compliance, privacy, and brand safety; working knowledge of platform political ad rules and nonpartisan standardsA willingness to work with and support other volunteers; strong communication and documentation habits2+ hours per week during our core team hours M–F 8 a.m. – 6 p.mYou are currently located in the US and can work one or two hours that overlap with US Pacific Time per weekHow to Apply
