Responsibilities Work in a 47-bed Med / Surg unit within an acute care hospital Patient population includes medical, surgical, and surgical oncology cases Nurse-to-patient ratios are 5 : 1 on day shift and 6 : 1 on night shift Utilizes Epic EMR, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and telemetry equipment 12-hour rotating day / night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required Floating may be required to other med / surg units across campuses Care for med / surg and surgical oncology patients, collaborating with inter-professional teams Demonstrate competency across the full scope of nursing care and population-specific standards One-day lead center training and two 12-hour shifts of precepted orientation provided Navy blue scrubs are required Must badge in and out at the facility Requirements Active ND or Compact RN license required Current AHA BLS certification required Minimum of 1 year recent Med / Surg experience required Experience with surgical oncology patients preferred Previous experience in a hospital with at least 200 beds and Level 2 or higher trauma center required Epic EMR experience required Candidates must not reside within 60 miles of the facility; local travel rate applies for those living 60-80 miles away Prior employment at Sanford Health requires a minimum 6-month separation before consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-617312.
