Alpinestars is seeking enthusiastic, energetic, sports-minded people to fill a Dealer Development position in our Motorcycle division.
This is not a fully remote role — it is a field-based role that combines remote work with roughly 75% travel to dealers across the territory. Candidates should live in, or be open to relocating to, a central location within the territory. The available territories are the "Mountain" region (Utah / Colorado / Nevada) and the "Central" region (Texas / Oklahoma / Kansas / Missouri).
Key Responsibilities
- Make personal sales calls at established account base on a regular basis
- Maintain weekly / monthly / quarterly sales call and travel schedule
- Work with accounts to effectively manage Alpinestars inventory
- Manage and assist account base with merchandising, seasonal POP updates, custom POP needs, etc.
- Create merchandising and product assortment plans for existing and new accounts
- Seek out prospective customers / business opportunities within existing and new accounts
- Establish and maintain customer relationships in order to grow profitable sales
- Introduce, demonstrate, and provide ongoing training to account staff on products
- Report competitive conditions and feedback
- Develop an effective and productive working relationship with Inside Sales Associates, Counter Sales Associates, Parts Managers, GM’s and support personnel; encourage and assist in their training and development when possible
- Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and / or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and growth
- Maintain ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships consistent with company image and goals in the marketplace
- Perform other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in sales or closely related field with three years of relevant sales and / or Powersports industry experience; or equivalent combined education and on the job experiencePrior knowledge of technical motorcycle product. Also, because riding a motorcycle will give the candidate a better idea of how our products can be applied, riding experience is also preferredDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations, demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environmentRead, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures etc.Proven proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applicationsExperience with ADP Lightspeed or other Powersport dealer management softwareGeneral knowledge of Powersports industry, motorcycle safety equipment, powersports after salesExperience utilizing CRMStrong customer service orientation.A valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record.A responsible, positive, and motivated character.
