Role Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides care to OB / GYN patients while functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, and policies. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. The RN also assists in directing and teaching non-RN staff, including LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries, and must demonstrate flexibility with schedule changes.

Responsibilities

Provide direct OB / GYN patient care with autonomy and clinical judgment

Serve as 1st Assist and Scrub OB when needed (highly preferred)

Teach, guide, and oversee non-RN staff in daily tasks

Apply critical thinking to implement and evaluate patient care plans

Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and age-specific care standards

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years OB experience required

Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment

BLS (AHA) – Can pend

ACLS (AHA) – Active

NRP – Active

STABLE Certification – Active

Fetal Monitoring Certification – Active
