As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a caring and innovative team that values agility, reliability, and integrity while supporting the people and operations at the site.

Pay Rate : $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sat 07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Sun 07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity within a manufacturing and industrial location.

Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.

Work collaboratively with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment at the location.

Document incidents and / or irregularities according to site-specific protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.

Assist with access control procedures and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
