The Children's Attorneys Project at Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada is seeking a full-time attorney to represent children in minor guardianship actions. The attorney will champion the rights of minors in guardianship court and ensure that their voice is heard and their rights are preserved and enforced in the action.
Role Overview
This role is part of Legal Aid Center's minor guardianship work, and the attorney will be on the forefront of a new area of practice, helping to shape and enforce meaningful protections for minors facing guardianship.
Preferred Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate is committed to public interest law and community service and has the desire to work with and zealously advocate for our clients. Experience in litigation, as well as family, guardianship, and dependency law is preferred, but not required. The ability to speak Spanish is always beneficial. The candidate must be a licensed attorney in good standing from any United States jurisdiction.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary range is $70,000 - $100,000 depending on experience with annual increases available. Our excellent benefits include :
