Shift : Day shift, 3x12-hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 09 / 22 / 2025 – End : 12 / 22 / 2025)

Patient Ratios : 4 : 1

Facility Features : Level 1 obstetrical service line, Level 2 NICU, 6 LDRs, 6 postpartum beds, 1 antepartum bed, 1 triage bed, 2 c-section suites

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience with prior travel nursing assignment, or 3 years of L&D experience without travel

Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (compliant with NLC guidelines)

Required certifications : ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, STABLE

Skills : Circulate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Triage, IV Start

Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Cerner charting experience preferred

Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps with Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical environment

Circulate and assist in vaginal and cesarean deliveries

Perform triage assessments and initiate appropriate interventions

Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs

Start IVs and administer medications as ordered

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services

Float between similar units and campuses within 20 miles as needed

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare facility protocols
