Skip Trace Specialist Los Angeles, CA | On-site

Job Description The Skip Trace Specialist position focuses on locating consumer's whereabouts and assets by using numerous tools available. The Skip Trace Specialist must provide support to the collectors by obtaining alternate phone numbers, addresses, licensing information, etc. in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Locate consumers using skip tracing tools and techniques
  • Communicate with third parties for the purpose of acquiring consumer's location information
  • Search private databases such as Accurint, public records and internet when necessary
  • Review and analyze credit application and in-house documents for location purposes
  • Verify consumer information
  • Campaign calling to negotiate payment arrangements
  • Comply with all federal, state and local regulations
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures

Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to overcome objections
  • Follow up on consumer leads
  • Excellent analytical, research, investigative and organizational skills
  • Track and maintain account statuses via Daybreak
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Capable of effectively operating in a high-pressure, high-volume environment
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, overtime, and weekends
  • Good interpersonal skills and team work awareness

    • Education and / or Experience :

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Collections / Customer Service
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
  • Familiarity with the state and federal laws applicable to collections, such as the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act

    • Machines, Office Equipment & Software

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office (excel, word, outlook)
  • Knowledge of Web Applications (Google Search, maps, etc.)

    • What's our Pay rate?

  • $17.87 to $19 per hour + bonus depending on individual performance.
  • The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
