Overview
As a Service Sales Engineer, your mission is to drive sales growth for our service business by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will work closely with the engineering and service product teams to implement effective service sales strategies.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prioritize service sales activities and customer interactions to achieve business targets.
- Collaborate with the service aftermarket team to provide exceptional after-sales service, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends and provide management with accurate information on pricing, competitive activities, and regional issues.
- Prepare and propose service product offerings, calculating sales prices using the company's discount strategy and quoting tools.
- Monitor and report on service sales activities, keeping the CRM updated with customer visit reports, opportunities, and quotation statuses.
- Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities that maximize customer relationships and business outcomes.
Qualifications
Degree Level – Four-year degree in business, marketing, or engineering, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in industrial service sales experience a must, preferably in the vacuum industry.Knowledge Areas :Understanding of what value-based selling intends for Service businessSound technical understanding and ability to quickly adopt to new products / technical developmentsWorking in an industrial environment, ideally with engineering backgroundClear understanding of optimized territory managementStrong sales techniques and skillsCritical Skills :Show courage and integrityShow high commitment to customerEagerness to hunt for resultsCope with pressure and setbacks and learn to develop accordinglyKeen interest in understanding the market and competitionClose interaction with VTS Business Development Manager and other sales engineersBuild up relationships and network with internal and external stakeholdersCommunicate with influenceOther Requirements :Excellent verbal and written English requiredConfident in interaction with end customersIntensive travelling activity (10% local travel and up to 50% overnight travel).Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.Experience with SAP strongly preferredBenefits
