Step into Plant 10 and lead the flow of a high-performance casting operation
Each day in our Whitehall Casting Operation, you'll orchestrate people, processes, and equipment as a single system. You will introduce smarter methods, reduce waste, and ensure materials and labor are used to their fullest. You'll move seamlessly across shifts, deploying ABS and advancing EHS practices with a strong emphasis on employee engagement. And you'll be a visible presence in safety inspections and housekeeping audits, setting the standard for operational excellence.

What you'll take ownership of
Build and supervise a high-performing team : run effective meetings, conduct reviews, manage staffing and leaves, and prioritize assignments.Deliver actionable feedback—positive and corrective—and document disciplinary steps appropriately.Lead training and onboarding so EHS rules are understood; strengthen performance, culture, and awareness of company policies and initiatives.Uphold the collective bargaining agreement; partner with union leadership and resolve grievances.Review production and operations reports; resolve manufacturing and maintenance issues to reduce cost and avoid delays.Investigate deviations; recommend corrective actions impacting schedules, cost, quality, and related variables.Requisition and stage tools, equipment, and supplies; ensure teams understand available resources, including the help chain.Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality on maintenance solutions and machine / equipment improvements.Audit procedures for safety regulations and address concerns promptly.Plan, develop, and implement new methods to improve operations and optimize labor and material utilization.Participate in plant safety inspections and housekeeping audits.Comply with all EHS rules required for the work environment.Perform other duties, as assigned.Basic qualifications
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.EITHER 5+ years in a manufacturing environment OR at least 1 year of Howmet supervisory / leadership experience.5+ years of supervisory / managerial responsibility.Preferred qualifications
BS in Engineering or Business.Background in investment casting is a plus.Skilled presenter who can address customers, managers, and employees with clarity.Proven leadership that fosters engagement and manages supervisors as direct reports.Hands-on improvement leader familiar with lean, total quality, Six Sigma, and 6S.Technical grasp of manufacturing processes.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation abilities.Solid financial literacy.Legal
