This is a contract position, employed by Impec Group and assigned to our client in Fremont, CA. As a Drafter Designer in the Design and Engineering department, you will play a vital role in supporting our client’s cutting-edge design and manufacturing initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will involve creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts in support of various engineering projects.

Pay Range $36 to $40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Position Drafter Designer

Schedule requires on-site presence five days a week. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve responding promptly to urgent design changes or engineering requests as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and layouts for mechanical, electrical, and structural components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or equivalent software).
• Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to interpret design specifications and ensure accuracy in all documentation.
• Revise and update existing engineering drawings and models based on feedback or design changes.
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to company and industry standards and best practices.
• Manage and organize electronic files and documentation related to drafting and design projects.
• Assist in developing bills of materials (BOMs) and supporting documents for manufacturing.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical input to improve design processes and efficiencies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, CAD software, and best practices.
• Other duties as assigned
