Position Overview
The Practice Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for identifying and securing primary care and specialty care clinics to support organizational growth. This role involves negotiating purchase agreements, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare community, and developing partnerships that increase patient engagement. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in healthcare, proven success in acquisitions, and a well-established professional network.
Key Responsibilities
Clinic Acquisition
Research and evaluate potential primary and specialty care practices for acquisition.
Lead negotiations and work closely with legal and financial teams to complete transactions.
Develop and implement integration strategies to ensure smooth transitions post-acquisition.
Partnership Development
Build and maintain relationships with physicians, medical groups, and healthcare networks.
Collaborate with partners to generate patient referrals and strengthen clinic utilization.
Establish connections with insurance providers to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
Market Analysis
Conduct research to identify industry trends, opportunities, and acquisition targets.
Monitor the competitive landscape and adapt strategies to maintain market advantage.
Relationship Management
Develop long-term connections with clinic owners, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders.
Act as the main liaison between acquired practices and internal operational teams.
Requirements
Qualifications
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, or related roles.
Prior success in medical acquisitions or similar transactions strongly preferred.
Skills
Strong negotiation and deal-structuring skills, with a track record of closing complex transactions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate at all levels.
Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze markets and implement effective growth plans.
Industry Knowledge
Solid understanding of the healthcare industry, with emphasis on primary and specialty care.
Established professional network that includes physicians, clinic owners, and insurers.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Advanced degree or certifications in healthcare management are a plus.
