Join our team as a Mfg Area Coordinator.
The Manufacturing Area Coordinator is responsible for coordinating manufacturing cell operations to achieve productivity and quality requirements. Provides work direction, training, and guidance for Finishing and Manufacturing Support employees within manufacturing cells. This position is available on the Weekend Day shift.
Shift :
Thursday 12 : 00am-6 : 00am; Friday - Saturday 6p - 6a; Sunday 8p - 4a
What you will do
- Coordinate and prioritize daily workload and activities in the manufacturing cell
- Execute production sequences and assignments to meet production goals
- Confer with supervisors and other coordinators to facilitate operations and activities within or between shifts and other functional areas
- Coordinate with molding personnel on schedule and start-ups
- Support Finishing Operators so that all presses are properly staffed during break times
- Provide directions and instructions to assure parts are packaged according to requirements
- Ensure that order quantities and customer specifications have been met
- Identify quality issues relating to trimming, injection molding, packaging, and order fulfillment
- Perform start-up inspections and provide approval when quality requirements are verified
- Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization
- Encourage team members to meet deadlines and productivity goals
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Conduct data entry and analysis for various manufacturing projects and efforts as needed
What it takes
High school diploma or equivalent degreePrevious experience as a team lead or other leadership type position requiredStrong attention to detail is required.Must have strong teamwork skills and able to work closely with others without conflict.Demonstrated ability to influence and teach others.Good written and oral communication skills.Able to use measuring instruments such as scales and calipers, a computer and calculator.Able to work safely with sharp tools / objects, such as but not limited to, hobby knives, utility knives, diagonal-cutting pliersAble to read and write in English, and do basic arithmetic.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.Must be punctual and have good attendance.Analytical thinking and problem solving skillsStrong organization and time management skills.Experience in Manufacturing, Warehouse or a Distribution Center preferredWhat you will get
