Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Opportunity

Avera Morningside Heights Care Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. This position may be eligible for a $500 SIGN-ON BONUS! As a CNA, you will gain hands-on experience in care working alongside nurses and other professionals who are passionate about creating a positive impact. Work Schedule : 8 - 47 hours every 2 weeks. Days, Evenings & "Short" Shift positions available.

A Brief Overview : Accountable for providing direct, personal care and services to residents in the skilled nursing facility, which meet the physical, academical, social and spiritual needs on a daily basis to maintain and improve their highest level of independent function.

What you will do :

• Provides assistance to residents with their activities of daily living
• Performs routine duties and non-routine duties as directed by nursing staff
• Performs blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration and weight. Documents concise and factual information on the appropriate forms.
• Performs or assists residents in performing specific medical care activities
• Assists with restocking supplies and maintaining appropriate work environment
• Participates in providing emotional, educational and spiritual support for families
• Complies with all aspects of resident rights including confidentiality and privacy
• Understanding and following established policies and procedures

Essential Qualifications : The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
