Position Overview
JJ&S Environmental Services is seeking a client-focused Operations Manager to join our team in California. This role is centered on handling escalated homeowner and client issues , ensuring that concerns are addressed promptly, professionally, and with solutions that preserve trust and long-term relationships. The Operations Manager will serve as the go-to problem solver for disputes, complaints, and conflicts, working closely with homeowners, partners (insurance companies, collaborators, etc.), and internal teams. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, negotiation ability, and a willingness to travel to project sites to meet directly with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1) Resolve Escalated Issues
- Act as the primary escalation point for homeowner and client complaints.
- Investigate disputes, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Meet directly with homeowners to calm concerns, rebuild trust, and negotiate fair resolutions.
- Work with insurance companies and collaborators to maintain partner satisfaction and resolve conflicts before they escalate further.
2) Support Client & Partner Satisfaction
Ensure all client interactions reflect professionalism and respect, setting the standard for how the team engages with external stakeholders.Collaborate with the Commercial team to safeguard the company's reputation and strengthen external relationships.Monitor recurring issues and help implement process improvements that reduce future escalations.3) Team Alignment & Professionalism
Support Branch Managers and their teams in managing escalated issues effectively.Coach team members on appropriate client interaction, ensuring respectful and solution-oriented communication.Uphold company values and standards in all external-facing operations.Qualifications
Proven experience (3+ years) in client-facing roles with strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to handle escalated disputes and maintain customer trust.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the confidence to meet homeowners and partners on-site.Experience in environmental services, construction, or related industries preferred.Ability to travel frequently to project sites across San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County.Spanish language skills (verbal) are a strong plus.What We Offer
