Overview
Unilever is hiring an experienced and forward-thinking Associate Director – Inclusion, Belonging and Culture to lead cultural transformation efforts across North America. This role reports to the Head of Inclusion & Culture North America and will shape and execute our people strategy to enable a winning culture that fuels business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and change agent who can lead through complexity and is energized by purpose, with strong skills in communication, audience engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute inclusion, belonging and culture initiatives aligned to business objectives while ensuring key stakeholder engagement and excellence in delivery.
- Stay attuned to industry trends and emerging practices, evolving internal approaches to remain forward-looking and aligned with Unilever’s values.
- Serve as a liaison with the Inclusion & Culture team to employee networks by fostering strong communication with executive sponsors and leads, guiding strategic activation, and leading cultural celebrations that build connectivity, amplify inclusion, and spark joy across the organization.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support and implement change. Partner with leaders and teams to build capability and drive results.
- Assess and define the future state of the employee experience, creating a culture that plays to win, and implementing change management strategies.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to key stakeholders and senior leaders that support inclusion goals, including toolkits, talking points, and FAQs to ensure alignment and engagement.
- Champion organizational transformation through clear communication and empowerment. Help shape a winning culture by reinforcing accountability, care, and respect.
- Serve as a consultant to the business on inclusion-related issues, ensuring compliance with U.S. and Canadian regulations and Unilever standards.
- Collaborate across functions, including HR, Legal, Finance, and Business Resource Groups, to deliver integrated solutions.
What You Will Need to Succeed
Education : BA / BS required; Master’s degree preferred.Experience : 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including time as an HR Business Partner and direct experience in driving inclusion, culture, and organizational engagement initiatives.Proven track record in leading complex projects with significant communication, change management and organizational design components.Strong ability to strategically influence senior leaders and key stakeholders.Skills & Knowledge : Deep understanding of Inclusion & Belonging principles, U.S. employment law, and compliance requirements.Expertise in change management, communication planning, and organizational development.Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.Certifications : PHR / SPHR or Inclusion-related certifications are a plus.Mindset : Highly action-oriented, engaging, innovative, and agile with a passion for building inclusive cultures.Why Join Us?

Pay : The pay range for this position is $141,680 to $212,520. Compensation decisions consider skills, experience, training, certifications, qualifications and education, and other business needs.
Bonus : This position is bonus eligible. Long-Term Incentive (LTI) : This position is LTI eligible.
