Position Overview

The Assistant Nurse Manager plays an integral role in supporting the management of nursing services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. This role works closely with the Director of Inpatient Nursing, Nurse Manager, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to uphold and enhance care standards within the facility.

The Assistant Nurse Manager is committed to ethical decision-making, providing compassionate care, and showing respect for each patient's dignity. Clear communication with patients, families, staff, physicians, and leadership is critical to maintaining top-quality patient care and safety. In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager demonstrates accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to the values of UNC Health Appalachian. The Assistant Nurse Manager will also assist with delegating tasks and managing nursing teams effectively under general supervision.

Compensation for this position is based on experience and qualifications, starting at $40.02 per hour .
