DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : This is professional work overseeing Child Protective Investigators who are charged with protecting children and working with families to conduct investigations of alleged abused, abandoned, neglected or exploited children.
Supervise investigations regarding allegations of child abuse, neglect, abandonment and / or special conditions for staff who;
Collect information through interviews with the children, parents, relatives, neighbors, and other parties associated with the case;
The position will perform all job tasks in accordance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and requirements applicable to state and federal laws or procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
A bachelor's degree (preferred bachelors or master's degree in social work from a college or university social work program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education)
3-5 years' experience in child welfare; preferred in child abuse investigations
Child Welfare Certification credentials from the Florida Certification Board
Must be trained and practicing Florida's Safety Practice method
