Senior Director, Product - Data Platform Infrastructure

Klaviyo’s Data Infrastructure pillar is responsible for maintaining a centralized, scalable data store with flexible, low latency reads for all of an organization's customer and related data. As Klaviyo has grown to support over 140k customers globally, the internal Klaviyo Database (KDB) has scaled to process over 2.5B average events daily, storing over 7.3B customer profiles.

As the Sr. Director of Product, Data Platform for Klaviyo, you will define and lead the higher order product vision and strategy for the Klaviyo Database (KDB) and operationalize this strategy across multiple teams under your domain leadership. This is a pivotal role that will shape how Klaviyo manages and leverages its vast data assets, directly impacting the ability of our application engineers, data scientists, and business intelligence teams to build innovative products and derive critical insights.

Key Responsibilities :

• Strategic Vision & Execution : Develop and articulate a compelling 3-5 year product vision and strategy for the Klaviyo Database, aligning it with Klaviyo's overall business objectives and long-term data infrastructure goals.
• Cross-Functional Leadership : Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other departments to refine our product roadmap.
• Team Development & Management at Scale : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers and people leaders.
• Customer & Market Focus : Gather insights from customers, market trends, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
• Operational Excellence : Oversee the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Stakeholder Communication : Clearly articulate product vision, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executives and cross-functional teams.
• Performance & Metrics : Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives.
• Innovation & Thought Leadership : Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Technical Depth : Demonstrate a deep understanding of technology, architecture, and product development.
