Reporting & Analytics Lead

The Reporting & Analytics Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams to assess reporting and analytic processes and translate them into strategic, innovative data solutions. This role ensures data integrity, accuracy, and compliance while delivering actionable insights that drive financial and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Relying on broad experience and judgment, this role has substantial latitude for decision-making and is responsible for :

Partnering with Finance and Accounting to design, develop, and implement reporting and analytics solutions in Power BI and Snowflake, replacing legacy reports and manual processes.

Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to ensure solutions align with operational and strategic objectives.

Leading the full project lifecycle : requirements, data engineering / operations partnership, QA / validation, UAT, and production delivery.

Conducting rigorous testing and validation to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance.

Automating manual workflows and streamlining financial / underwriting reporting processes to improve efficiency and data quality.

Translating financial and operational data into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership.

Creating and maintaining project documentation, report specifications, and training materials to support adoption.

Driving and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Finance / Accounting teams, securing final sign-off.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (minor in Data Analytics preferred).

Experience

Minimum 6 years of accounting and reporting experience, including financial analysis and quality assurance.

Strong background in business analysis, variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial data validation.

Experience in Insurance or Financial Services preferred; knowledge of statutory, regulatory, GAAP, and IFRS reporting requirements.

Proven ability to translate complex financial and technical data into actionable insights for leadership.

Strong understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) with advanced Excel skills (reconciliations, financial modeling).

Experience with Power BI, Snowflake, and other reporting / analytics tools.

Other Requirements

Occasional travel (up to 10%).

Passport and valid driver's license required.

Ability to work overtime as needed.

Physical requirements : ability to sit for extended periods, occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs), manual dexterity for computer use, and ability to adjust visual focus.
