Job Title : Principal – Network Architect

Location : Chicago, IL

Work Mode : Hybrid (Onsite 3 days per week)

Duration : Long-Term Contract

Eligibility : H4 EAD, Green Card, and U.S. Citizens only

Note : (Local candidates only – No relocation)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Network Architect to design, implement, and oversee complex enterprise network solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network architecture, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise-scale system integration.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and optimize large-scale enterprise network architectures (LAN / WAN, SD-WAN, Cloud Networking).
  • Lead network modernization initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-level design documents and network topology diagrams.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging network technologies to support business transformation.
  • Perform network capacity planning, risk assessment, and performance tuning.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and best practice guidance to network engineering teams.
  • Oversee network incident response and root cause analysis for critical infrastructure issues.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network design and architecture.
  • Expertise in Cisco routing and switching, firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet), and load balancers (F5, Citrix).
  • Strong understanding of SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, BGP, OSPF, and IPv6 .
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency with network automation and monitoring tools (Ansible, SolarWinds, Wireshark).
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in designing hybrid cloud and multi-site network infrastructures.
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise network transformation initiatives.
