Family Associate Attorney

A well-established law firm in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Family Law Division. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated early-career attorney with 1–3 years of experience or a recent bar examinee awaiting results. The role offers hands-on experience, client interaction, courtroom exposure, and mentorship under a board-certified family law attorney. Candidates with interest or experience in wills and estate planning are also encouraged to apply.

Location

Duties

Manage and communicate with clients throughout their legal matters

Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other legal documents

Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings

Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies

Assist in estate planning and wills-related matters (if applicable)

Maintain detailed case records and timekeeping

Requirements

1–3 years of experience preferred, but recent bar takers may be considered

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal and client service skills

Motivated self-starter with a professional demeanor

Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

Active license to practice law in Florida (or awaiting bar exam results)

Skills

Excellent writing and verbal communication

Strong legal research and drafting capabilities

Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Confidence in courtroom and client-facing settings

Familiarity with family law procedures; knowledge of wills and estate law is a plus
