The Senior Accountant executes and advises on accounting related functions. Responsibilities are to include posting / reviewing of JE entries to the general ledger, account reconciliation, and inventory functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. In addition, this position will need to work collaboratively with business partners outside of Finance such as manufacturing, procurement and sales to accomplish a variety of monthly and quarterly close process steps and ad hoc analysis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare general ledger transactions to record allowances, liabilities and bad debt write-offs.
- Manage factoring agreements and transactions.
- Manage and troubleshoot customer EDI systems
- Developing, writing and updating credit and collections policies and procedures.
- Assistance with monitoring and ensuring accurate physical inventories and cycle counts at each production site.
- Monitor inventory transactions and product cost variance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with financial analysis, production, sales, receiving and procurement departments.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial processes and internal controls (SOX).
- Assists in the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation and cost.
- Assists in establishing system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
- Assists in the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
- Maintains systems and controls that support the integrity of all accounting processes, accounting data, and enhance department value by continually improving control processes.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly management reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
- When required, assist with daily activities related to A / R and inventory accounting including review of entries to the general ledger and account reconciliation and analysis.
- Conforms with all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business-related field4+ years Accounting experience plus Treasury work Experience in the manufacturing company preferredStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.Experience with ERP / accounting systems (experience with Sage X3 / EM a plus)Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPointBenefits
