Talent Development Specialist
Job Summary
The Talent Development Specialist serves as the primary resource for providing healthcare-related career guidance, preparation, and workforce information to the public. The role focuses on helping individuals make informed decisions about their career pathways within healthcare. The Talent Development Specialist collaborates with internal teams, educational institutions, and community partners to ensure effective workforce pipelines, engaging learning experiences, and strong support for current and future employee.
Performance : Position Specific Essential Functions
- Plans and implements short- and long-term strategies to meet recruitment and staffing needs for healthcare positions across the organization.
- Develops and recommends advertising and marketing materials to attract and engage potential candidates, enhancing the overall talent pipeline.
- Builds and maintains long-term relationships with key training programs, including personal outreach, attending career fairs, and following up with student rotations to ensure continuous talent flow.
- Provides educational and resource materials to support career exploration and advancement in healthcare fields.
- Prepares, implements, and tracks budget expenses related to Talent Development initiatives, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Generates timely reports on pipeline growth, key recruitment metrics, and effectiveness of strategies, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensures recruitment efforts target a wide range of potential candidates, including under-represented groups in healthcare.
- Collaborates with department managers and leadership to identify skill gaps and offer solutions for targeted talent development, training, and career advancement.
- Assists in the creation and execution of workforce planning, ensuring that healthcare teams are well-equipped to meet patient care demands.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, project team members, external consultants, or website creators to establish comprehensive and seamless messaging.
- Partner with local schools, colleges, and workforce agencies to create talent pipelines for critical positions.
- Understands, interprets, and references affiliation agreements with education institutions and contractual agreements and with agency employees placed at Shannon.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
