System Design Engineer

A company is looking for a System Design Engineer for a remote, contract position focused on advanced nuclear reactor projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design fluid systems from requirements development to final design and commissioning

Oversee suppliers during the development and fabrication of gas processing and monitoring equipment

Prepare system-level engineering documentation and support design reviews

Required Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience

Experience with piping systems and ability to read and draw P&IDs

Strong understanding of design codes (ASME, BPVC, API)

Experience working to quality standards such as ASME NQA-1, AS 9100, or ISO 9001

Ability to coordinate with minimal direction and handle projects with competing objectives
