Job Description

The West Texas Spine Institute is looking for a Physician Assistant to join our team. We are a busy multi-specialty orthopedic practice serving 3 locations in Odessa, Midland, and Lubbock.

New graduates are welcome to apply. Be part of the team that offers a wide array of services, from sports medicine to orthopedic surgery. Health, wellness and recovery are our primary concerns.

This opportunity is weekdays, M-F, NO NIGHTS; NO WEEKENDS; NO CALL

Pay : From $125,000.00 per year plus potential for 12k / yr Incentive Pay

Benefits :

  • 10 Days PTO accrual for the first year, increasing to 15 days on 2nd & 3rd year, increasing to 20 days after 4 years
  • 8 Paid Holidays
  • Health, Dental & Vision available, company partially sponsors
  • 401k Matching also available within 60 days
  • Reimbursement for license renewal and DEA available PLUS $2500 towards CME available.
  • Company pays Med / Mal Liability

Responsibilities

  • Assist with initial consultation and follow-up on a routine and structured basis.
  • Assists with medical decision making, data gathering, order entry, timely documentation and in transition of care.
  • Assists with reassessments, acute visits, clinics, test monitoring, patient follow up and medical management.
  • Functions as a role model for all staff members
  • Pre and Post Operative Patient Care
  • Performs therapeutic joint injections- trigger point injections and joint injections

    • Required Skills

  • Current National Certification required
  • Current Texas License required
  • Current DEA or eligible
  • Graduate of a formal accredited education program required
  • Valid AHA CPR required
  • Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual a plus
