Grants Analyst, Government Grants

The American Heart Association invites applications for a Grant Analyst, Government Grants with the Office of Funded Programs team. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, grant-funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on July 31, 2026, with the potential for extension. The position is flexible and remote.

Reporting to the VP, Funded Programs, the Grant Analyst, Government Grants will provide operational support to Principal Investigators (PIs) and implementation teams for specific government grants throughout the grant lifecycle.

The expected pay range is $70,000 to $80,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials may apply.

Responsibilities

• Prior Approval Requests & Compliance : Determine prior approval requirements or waivers for a given award and monitor for activities that may require approval from grantors; coordinate and facilitate as needed.
• Budget Planning : Develop, monitor, and adjust budgets to align with project needs, funding requirements, and federal cost principles; prepare budget revisions and justifications.
• Compensation Compliance : Ensure salaries and wages charged reflect the work performed under the grant.
• Expense Review : Partner with project leads to ensure expenses and invoices are accurately completed, reviewed, approved, and submitted timely; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Cost Transfers : Ensure cost transfers and expense reallocations are properly documented and compliant with grant regulations.
• Subrecipient & Contract Management : Coordinate forms for contractors and subrecipients; collaborate with cross-functional teams and systems for approvals; prepare documents for subrecipient monitoring and contractor bid processes as needed.
• Communication and Reporting : Manage grantor communications, obtain internal approvals for grantor requests, and track milestones and deliverables with program teams.
• Other Duties : Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
