A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work on a 20-bed progressive care unit serving as an inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care
• Patient ratios of 1 : 5 / 1 : 6 stretch depending on level of care
• Handle medical surgical and / or step-down patients
• Focus on short stay patients with less than 24-hour length of stay and quick turnover
• Work with telemetry equipment with all patients hardwired to bedside monitors when indicated
• Use Cerner electronic medical record system
• Every other weekend required, no call required
• Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience
• Recent progressive care experience preferred
• Required certifications : BLS and ACLS
• May be required to float to other units as needed
• Dress code : Navy and / or white top, navy bottom, or all white scrubs
