Material Handler – 3rdShift

Excellent Furst-to-Hire opportunity for a Material Handler to work on the 3rdshift at a leading Rockford steel company that has been in business in our community for over 80 years. The Material Handler is responsible for moving steel to staging areas manually and with a handheld overhead crane. The Material Handler position provides a lot of overtime – a great way to make extra money! The ideal candidate must be able to work mandatory overtime when needed.

Hours : 9pm until the work is done Sunday-Thursday with mandatory overtime

Pay : $17 / hour,with shift differential once hired in

Material Handler Duties :

Operate overhead crane and mobile cranes

Machine operation

Move steel to staging areas manually and with a crane

Load and unload trucks or railroad cars

Material Handler Skills :

1-3 years forklift experience

Experience operating machines

Basic computer skills

Must be able to follow directions

Demonstrate ability to work safely and efficiently

Must be willing to work required overtime
