We are seeking a Foreman to support our team at Tarkett Sports Construction Central , a trusted partner in design-build and sports construction. They support big ideas from start to finish, delivering on concept, construction, and ongoing care for track, field and courts. The Foreman will report to the Turf Division Leader.

What you'll do :

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of construction crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Assign tasks, manage schedules, and monitor productivity to keep projects on time and within scope.
  • Enforce safety standards, lead regular safety meetings, and conduct inspections to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, building codes, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Inspect work progress, equipment, and completed tasks to confirm workmanship meets requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, tools, and services.
  • Monitor project progress, address delays or conflicts, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedules.
  • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of construction tools, equipment, and site resources.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of labor, materials, site activities, and safety incidents.
  • Prepare and submit progress updates and reports to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Supervise workers, ensure compliance with safety regulations, coordinate tasks and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to construction workers to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Foster a positive work environment and motivate the team to achieve project goals.
  • Address and resolve any conflicts or issues among team members.

What you need for success :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
  • Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
  • The ability to stand and walk frequently.
  • Potential exposure to noisy, hot or otherwise challenging conditions.
  • Ability to travel to all job sites.
  • The ability to sit as needed frequently.
  • The ability to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required for the position duties on occasion.
  • The ability to use manual dexterity frequently to operate technology devices and work equipment throughout the workday.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds or more in office equipment, work equipment, etc.
  • Occasional push, pull, bend, stoop for position throughout the workday.
