Skillforce is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Pipefitters with HDPE experience for commercial and industrial projects in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will be skilled in fusing high-density polyethylene (HDPE) piping systems using both butt fusion and electrofusion methods, ensuring all work meets project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform HDPE pipe fusion using butt fusion, socket fusion, and electrofusion techniques.

Read and interpret blueprints, project drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.

Prepare, align, and secure pipe for proper fusion and joint integrity.

Inspect completed joints for quality and compliance with project requirements.

Operate and maintain fusion equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safe operation.

Assist with general pipe fitting, layout, and installation of commercial piping systems.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an HDPE Fusion Technician / Specialist in commercial or industrial settings.

Proficiency with butt fusion, socket fusion, and electrofusion processes.

Familiarity with McElroy or equivalent fusion equipment.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.

Current fusion certification(s) preferred (McElroy, PPI, or equivalent).

OSHA 10 / 30 certification a plus.
